In last night's ABC13 Locke admits he accepts Hotze's endorsement, saying he hasn't sacrificed his core principles in doing so. At this exact moment, viewers knew they were in for an hour of Locke dancing the sidestep, and the rest of the viewing experience would became a game of trying to figure out if Locke was telling the truth or deluding himself and voters. Locke also claimed he's been the target of bigoted attacks in this campaign. Really? Want to enumerate those, Mr. Locke?
Locke certainly sidestepped the central issue: That by accepting Hotze's endorsement, he is lying down with dogs and getting infested with fleas. I know the HGLBT community isn't buying Locke's dance, and neither are Democrats who are pro-equality and anti-hate.
Compare the first video of "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" sidestep dance, with the video of Locke answering the Hotze question. I think you will find amazing similarities! (hat tip to Noel Freeman for posting the first video on Facebook.) The Whorehouse video is worth watching for pure entertainment value, having been filmed in the hallowed halls of the Texas Capitol. I guarantee you will at least be chuckling by the end.
