Additionally, I was intrigued by this:
Stardig said she has specific flood control projects in mind, but did not want to speak publicly about them out of a fear of hurting property values.Wow! A secret plan for flood control! You know, she's running for office and she has a platform and plenty of venues (bars?) for sharing he plans. Share, Brenda, share! Looks like someone has shared for her and created www.StardigSecretPlan.com. The secret plans are very entertaining. I suggest you take a look!
A comment about Lane Lewis - I've seen him in person at campaign events a number of times. He's very clear that he is saying the same thing everywhere he goes - what he tells a conservative group is what he tells a progressive group, for example. He always emphasizes transparent government and ethics.
Lewis got the Chronicle endorsement:
Lewis has served as a mayoral appointee on police oversight committees and promises to concentrate on projects to revitalize blighted areas in the district. He is a proponent of the city acquiring an abandoned golf course in the Inwood Forest area and converting it to park space and retention ponds to help control area flooding. He believes it could become the nucleus of a redevelopment zone that would improve land values and decrease crime. “We would have a whole new area ripe for redevelopment,” says Lewis. “That is a solution that is affordable, accessible, and accountable to the needs of the people.”
With his innovative ideas and energy, the Chronicle believes Lewis would be a constructive and imaginative addition to City Council. There is a debate in District A tomorrow, December 1st, at Woodview Elementary, 9479 Cedardale, at 7:00 PM. Let's see if Stardig is everywhere she needs to be - at the debate, for example - and reveals her secret flood control plan to voters.

Clearly Lane Lewis is the best choice. The man practices what he preaches and does not dodge bullets. Consistency no matter who is present is what he is known for. I am an attorney who has just moved to Inwood Forest in a beautiful executive home. IF - right now, is one of the world's best kept secrets if you refuse to move to a microscopic house or a teardown for a couple of hundred grand - pre-build. I am on the golf course because I have the confidence that it is going nowhere but up. So much opportunity for a fraction of the cost. Re-vitalization of that valuable property is only one of several key platforms that Lane lewis stands upon. When I read of his care, concern and tireless effort to assist teens who needed help by providing a safe haven for them, I was done! Sitting on police over sight committees has been vitally important for all the citizens of this city. Check and balances are what we need. This is a man who has been in the trenches, not just at the tables of the elite and the rich developers who have come into our neighborhoods, making their money and having no vested interest in the communities that they have made their money from until there is an opportunity to make more money. It would be a "travesty" if this man were not elected.Stardig talks about Lane having to learn on the job. Thank God that he has not been apart of those good ole boys and girls clubs where he has learned to play those trite, replete, and self-serving "jobs" that they have carved out for themselves and have bamboozled the people whom they are supposed to serve. We need an intelligent, astute, caring and progressive person to hold this position, and that person is LANE LEWIS!
Stardig has already declined for tomorrow. I am not surprised. Must be a good happy hour somewhere!
How does that woman have the gall to "decline" a debate at this juncture in the run-off???
That says it all about Brenda!
If you're at the same bar as her tomorrow night, DON'T sit near the front wall, she has a bad habit of back through bars...by accident of course!
