Silly Season Mayoral Poll!

With all the negative attacks this past week from the mayoral campaigns - and all along from crazed bloggers - I thought it would be fun to put up a mayoral preference poll based on some things that have struck me as funny during this campaign season. Review the following, then vote in the poll to the right!

So, the question is: Someone is going to be elected Mayor of Houston . . . eventually. Thinking ahead to who that person might be, which of the following campaign tactics do you think we will look back on and incorporate into all future mayoral campaigns? Clearly, it will be one of these that turned the tide for the winner!

1. Peter Brown will be Mayor and all future mayoral campaigns will be running hayrides up and down West Gray during early voting.

2. Annise Parker will be Mayor: Forget the obligatory campaign stops to all the traditional endorsing groups. The must do campaign stop will be at the Houston Zoo to pet an anteater.

3. Gene Locke will be Mayor and campaigns will send out this text message exactly one week before the final day of early voting.
TODAY is the final day for early voting.
4. Roy Morales will be Mayor and the airwaves will be swamped with biker ads.

Youtube seems to be cranky and is not always linking to my embedded videos. They keep coming back online, though!

Also, I'm enjoying everyone's passion for their preferred candidates. I especially appreciate my friends who are supporting different candidates from me - and have a sense of humor about all of this. I had endless laughs with a friend from Team Brown this week. It's always fun to get past election day, when smart folks know to be gracious winners and losers and get back to the business of good government - and the next campaign season.

Video of Annise Parker on record supporting Houston Zoo and promoting it, including financially?

She found the vain of my favorite part of Houston and tapped it! General approval and support for Parker is now a locked fawning admiration!

And yet, I'm still registered in Friendswood, meaning not able to vote for her.
