Roy Morales and His Biker Ad Wins!

I'm watching Morales running second in EDay voting, with 39.24% of the vote in.

Total EDay vote is with 39.24% in:
Parker  32.25%
Morales  23.74%
Locke  21.63%
Brown  21.22%

Total vote (EDay plus Early Vote plus Mail) with 39.24% in:
Parker  30.06%
Locke  26.09%
Brown  24.05%
Morales  18.79%

But, the big winner of the night is Roy Morales' biker ad in the musings "Silly Season Mayoral Poll." With 64 votes total, the final tally was:

Biker Ad (Morales)  39%
Pet an Anteater (Parker)  23%
West Gray Hayride (Brown)  20%
Text Message (Locke)  17%

And, Roy could very well be the spoiler for Peter Brown, taking away some of his Republican support on Election Day. The people who are not surprised by Morales' share of the vote are the people on the 2007 Melissa Noriega campaign. I was on Team Noriega, and Morales had the same lack of money and the same campaigning style as he does now, but he managed to get in the special election runoff and then get 34% in the November general election.

Let's see how this plays out. We know Morales will lose, but I'm certainly willing to say that musings readers knew what they were doing when they voted "Biker Ad" as "the campaign tactic that all future mayoral campaigns will copy":

Roy Morales and his biker buddies are kicking butt and taking names today, but hopefully, they are riding off into the sunset and will never again run city wide.
