Mayoral Campaign Videos I Missed

KTRK has been asking the mayoral candidates a series of questions over time and they were asked to respond with short videos. I'm catching up on those now and here are some that I found interesting:

Peter Brown answers the question, "Introduce us to your favorite living Houstonian and tell us something you learned from them," by introducing his three kids as examples of the great potential Houston has. I think it's kinda cool. I would probably answer it the same way!

I adore this one about Annise Parker. She's in her backyard gardening. I was in her backyard recently and noticed all sorts of large rock specimens. I'm a big geek about rocks and fossils. When I asked Annise about those a few days later she told me she is a big rock and fossil collector, and was an anthropology major in college! Oh, my, no wonder I like her so much! She answers the question, "If you weren't running for mayor, where would I find you on a Saturday morning?"

This one from Gene Locke is interesting because he doesn't answer the question, "When you are mayor, how far will HPD officers go to find out someone's immigration status? Will you order checks of all people stopped by police, just those booked into jail?" (UPDATE: I'm reading Locke's answers to the Texas Conservative Review questions right now. He does the same thing - does not answer the questions asked. Is that him being lawyerly? He got an F from them. Parker got a B; Brown got a C.)

Listen to Roy Morales. And, the traffic noise. What was the question? This is a long minute, 52 seconds.
