Talking about women in the workplace. Walsh talking about the media fixaton on working moms - leaves some women out. For example, Walsh is an empty nester with a puppy. Where is the media attention on women with puppies! :)
We get the media we deserve. 25 minutes of balloon boy. Mary Benton asked the question - do we lead with balloon boy or do we lead with tort reform? Who tunes out once you start talking about your taxes?
Salon - even cultural features, have some sort of political, news slant. Walsh says Salon asks themselves how much they cover the crazies. If you don't cover them, it's not like they will go away. Their job - debunk the crazies.
