Gene Locke's First TV Ad Up on YouTube

NOTICE: The ad came down almost as soon as it went up. If you go to the link, it now says the video is private. Apparently, the Locke campaign did not intend for it to be viewed on YouTube just yet.
I'm not sure reminding people he was City Attorney back in the day is all that helpful. I've talked with quite a few long-time Houstonians who when hearing that one fact - "Gene Locke was the City Attorney under Mayor Bob Lanier," shudder and ask who the alternatives are. There's a real buzz about that, but I guess if Locke is going to use Parker's "I'm ready to lead" line on himself, he's got to tout his experience, even if that experience turns off voters with long memories.
Also, there's a visual of one of our stadiums, and as we know, tax payers are about to have to pitch in for a project where they were promised not a dime of taxpayer dollars would ever be spent - and that was attorney Gene Locke who negotiated the original stadium deal that has now gone bad.
It's a well produced ad. What are your thoughts?

Seriously, folks, Annise says, "I'm ready to lead!" each and every time she is in front of a group. It's sort of a rallying cry for her and her supporters.

Yeah, Parker's rally cry doesn't have the same effect on those who are are not supporters and just citizens weeding through the candidates.
