I'm sure you share my alarm over the Texas judge who is allowing a gay couple to proceed with their divorce, as he believes the State law banning gay marriage is unconstitutional. Do you need to rewrite your Twogetherness law to include "save this marriage classes" for gays?
It's an issue of fairness. Why only offer this class to man-woman couples? Why not extend it to man-man or woman-woman or even man-box turtle couples?
Harold Cook is urging even stronger action - legislation limiting divorce to only heterosexual couples. He makes a good point, "that to give homosexuals equal footing to hate each other alongside good Christian couples, who have grown to want each other dead, would mean the destruction of the traditional family!"
If we had year-round legislative sessions, good Christian law makers like you could stop this idiotic idea of gay people having equal opportunity divorces. Think how much fun you would have if you could legislate permanent misery for them right now in real time! As it is, we are going to have to wait until 2011. May I suggest making this issue the poster boy for getting rid of the every other year, six month long, sessions?
Traditionally yours,
muse
