Obama Tells Texas Republicans: Crash The Democratic Primary

I received the following email today. I guess this is one way to win. Tap into the Republican hatred of all things Clinton. I'm sure the Clintons are responsible for the war in Iraq, the national debt and the housing crisis. Not to mention the fact that your paper jammed up in the copier, your kid didn't do his homework and your wife yelled at you for leaving the toilet seat up. Those damn Clintons.

So, cool. They get rid of Hillary and Bill and they'll turn on Obama next. They'll rush over to McLame because he'll protect us from the terrorists and insurgents and other assorted scary stuff.

Here's the email from Republicans for Obama:

Attention All Texas Republicans and Independents!!

On March 4th, Texas Republicans and Independents will have an opportunity to end Hillary Clinton's (and Bill's) presidential ambitions once and for all!

Since Texas has on open primary, Republicans and Independents should sign in at their polling place and request a Democratic ballot. They should then vote for Barack Obama. Even James Carville admits that if Hillary loses Texas, "she's done!" Republicans can help make this a reality!!! Just think, no more Clintons in the White House!

Voting Democratic this one time will have NO effect on your ability to vote in the next Republican primary or obviously on your vote in November. Since John McCain has the Republican nomination locked up, voting for McCain or Huckabee at this point will have no effect on the outcome on the Republican side.

After you vote during early voting or on March 4th, you ARE NOT done! Report back to your regular polling place at 7PM on March 4th to sign the Barack Obama list for caucus delegates. In a little known Texas voting quirk, 67 delegates to the Democratic convention will be seated because of these caucuses. This is a full one-third of the total number of Texas delegates. For Hillary to lose, she has to lose the primary votes AND the caucus votes.

I urge you to vote against Hillary Clinton by voting for Barack Obama. Please forward this e-mail to all your Texas Republican and Independent friends so that we can help ensure the Clinton's defeat on March 4th!!!

For the life of me I cannot understand why people do not rise up against this. Ever heard the expression win the battle/lose the war??

That is what is going to happen with a Obama nomination. If the DNC had been smart they would have urged him to go as her vp.

It's quite possible we might have seen a sixteen year run of dems in the White House.

As it is right now, it looks like we are going to end up with McCain.

If this is your first dance and you are voting Obama then maybe you could take a look at this and help us save the White House. Obama WILL NOT win against the republicans.

She could though and that's why they are doing this and they have been doing it in every single state!!

*sigh* It's not rocket science but, dems cannot get on the same page in this election at all. A lot of Clinton supporters are not voting Obama in the general even if they once thought so. Too many things have happened that have completely turned us off. I don't know now at all what I will do.

Hopefully, Clinton will take Texas if even by a small margin. If she does we might have shot at the White House for the democrats.

Karl Rove and the G.O.P. created the Obama candidacy specifically to defeat Clinton in the primaries. They helped him win his senate seat in 2004 by forcing the G.O.P. candidate to drop out, then replacing him with an unknown. Obama formed his presidential exploratory committee the following year.

His speechwriter Ben Rhodes is the brother of Fox News VP David Rhodes, and Time magazine has reported that former Bush fundraisers and strategists have contributed mightily to his campaign. This is why superdelegates are important.

For more on Rove's strategy, see the article I've posted at thecityedition.com or click on my screen name.
