Where's The Potty?

Kelly Siegler, Assistant Harris County D.A. and candidate for Romancethal's job, wants you to know that:

"To put it bluntly, Judge Lykos, Mr. Leitner and Clarence Bradford don't know where the restrooms are in the office," she said.

These are the other candidates for the Harris County District Attorney.

She's on the hot toilet seat because her husband, Dr. Sam Siegler, sent a lot of the egregious emails to his friend, embattled Harris County D.A., Chuck Rosenthal. You know the pornographic ones, the race-baiting ones.

But hey, since she can find the potty at the D.A.'s office, she's the best qualified person for the job!

The R's are squabbling over who is the bigger man, those that say, "Rosenthal should resign!" or "Let's investigate Rosenthal!" For the record, County Judge Ed Emmett is real sure he is BMOC because he has called for an investigation:

"That's fairly stout. That says, look, this is more than just calling and saying, 'Gee, why don't you resign,' " Emmett said. "This is saying, 'We are starting a process that, if the facts turn out ... we will remove you from office.' "

Resign. Geez. Woodfill, Bacarisse, you guys are whimps! Resign. Is that all you can come up with?

Right wing talk radio logs in:

Conservative radio host and newspaper publisher Terry Lowry said the election already was going to be tough for conservatives and Republicans here because of political trends, "and any negative will hurt — how much depends on Chuck's quick resignation."

"As I interview candidates for my radio show, I will begin asking them what skeletons are in their closet," Lowry added. "My endorsement will hinge on their truthful answer to that question."

And, a voice of reason, predicts a flesh-eating bacteria on the GOP:

"There is no way this will not be a constant, running sore for the Republican Party" if Rosenthal remains in office, University of Houston political scientist Richard Murray said.

Ooze on, Republicans!
