Calling On State Bar, DA's Office and FBI To Investigate Rosenthal Emails
Harris County District Attorney Chuck "Romancethal" Rosenthal's public display of emails was featured in a recent Wall Street Journal Law Blog post. Several commenters suggest that the State Bar should look into this affair, even going so far as to suggest that all defense lawyers in Harris County subpoena all of his public emails:
"you cannot send emails like that to female secretaries in your office when you are the boss, you cannot engage in conduct with subordinates that could compromise your position and the decisions you take on behalf of the people- to do so constitutes an abuse of authority. I hope the Texas Bar is taking note here, and opening an investigation."I'm wondering, should the Harris County DA's office be looking into this, also? What about the FBI? I sure wish there was a reason for them to get involved. That way his FBI agent wife could come out of retirement and kick his sorry ass around in public for having so little respect for her.
"What competent lawyer would use E-mail for any private message? Surely he is being reviewed by the bar for general competency to practice. How many investigations has this clown endangered due to his ignorance of the confidentiality of E-mails? I hope every defense lawyer in Harris county subpoenas all of his now public E-mails."
"And depending on the other facts in this case, it could be that the DA here IS IN FACT in violation of state bar rules involving his conduct on the job. If you look at the bar rules in most every jurisdiction, they have rules involving “lawyers who hold public office” among others."
Is the secretary gassing up her County car with (free County) gas, so she can run him over multiple times in the parking lot of the nearest Motel 6?
Stay tuned.
