Is The Democratic National Convention In Aurora?

The Texas delegation to the Democratic National Convention will be staying at the Radisson in Aurora, Colorado, ten miles from the Pepsi Center (I prefer Coke) where the convention will be held. From the Dallas Morning News:

The Texans had asked for the downtown Marriott, but Illinois – which has voted Democratic in four straight presidential elections – got it.

There was a lottery. Texas Democrats got No. 6. Pretty good. But there were other factors. Much weight apparently went to the fact that Texas remains devoid of statewide Democratic officeholders and isn't a likely battleground. So they'll be at the Radisson in Aurora.

I'm tagging this post "No Shit Sherlock."

Who else is staying at the Radisson in Aurora? Those Democratic powerhouses - the American Samoans! Instead of the mile high city, Texas delegates will be sleeping easy at the 10-mile away city.
