Lampson Back In D.C.!
Just got this press release. I'm happy for Nick Lampson and happy for TX-22!
Washington, DC - Congressman Nick Lampson (D-Stafford) today returned to Washington and began resuming his Congressional duties full-time, only 6 weeks after successful heart bypass surgery and ahead of schedule.
"I am glad to be back in Congress and representing the hard-working families of Texas's 22nd Congressional District," said Congressman Lampson. "We have so many important priorities coming up for consideration before the Congress, and I have been anxious to return for the past few weeks so we can continue get things done in the People's House."
In recent weeks Congressman Lampson had resumed a part-time work schedule in his district office, per his physician's recommendations. During that time he held meetings with residents, area businesses, and also stayed involved in matters concerning NASA and the Johnson Space Center, located in the district. His health has improved rapidly and he will resume his full-time Congressional duties and schedule today by voting immediately on pending legislation this evening.
