Hillary Was Spectacular In Houston Today

Let the Hillary love fest on musings begin. She was in Houston today, speaking at the Wesley African Methodist Episcopal Church, and I was on the second row. Great choir while we waited for the event to start! After a short introduction and the obligatory hug/photo op with Sheila Jackson Lee, Senator Clinton began to speak about how America needed to become America again - how we need to improve our reputation in the world, invest in technologies and industries that will create jobs and provide for the least, the last and the lost. She promised that as President, she will work on universal health care, getting us out of Iraq and providing universal preschool.

Our former First Lady can really deliver a speech. She was poised, confident, natural, warm and personal. It didn't sound rehearsed. Color me impressed.

All of my close up photos turned out blurry. That's what happens when you have a low end digital camera and you are indoors. Here's a long shot:

And, for all of you Hillary haters, she's very attractive in person and looks much younger than she does in photos.

You go, girl!

The Chronicle has great photos:

I agree. She was very impressive.

I've seen Obama and Hillary in person. Obama was poised, spoke very well, articulate, intelligent, etc etc.

Hillary just seemed to have it all.

Should be an interesting primary for Democrats while the republicans wallow in their own spit with their candidates.

I was there to, on the 2nd row as well. WHatever hesitations I had about her were relieved today. It felt like she was the president speaking. It felt thoughtful. It was full of hope for america afer these long years of shameful rule by the Bush administration. Hillary is warm and humorous, unlike some of the media reports are about her. A memorable day for Dems in Houston...
