Hank Gilbert vs. John Cornyn?
I've heard some interesting buzz today about another people powered candidate who could give Cornyn a run for his money (hey! I can make jokes about the money folks controlling our destiny!). That person is Hank Gilbert who ran for Agriculture Commissioner last year and garnered a greater percentage of the vote than any statewide Democratic candidate.
He traveled the whole state, brought R's over to our side and is well loved by the grass roots.
Plus, I hear he's just plain pissed off at Cornyn over agriculture and a whole host of other stuff.
This could get fun. Real fast.

God Bless Hank, but no.
I think Hank would be fantastic. This is what primaries are for, folks. Let the people (not the money in DC) decide.
Someone should challenge Cornyn. Hank is solid. Hank tells it like it is, checks his facts, applies his brain, and combines old fashion "horse sense" with education and intelligence.
If folks really want him to challenge Cornyn, they'll have to come up with lots of green before filing deadline.
