More Ethics Charges Filed Against State Rep. John Davis

No, it's not me filing the complaints against John Davis, the Republican incumbent in House District 129. But, I sure am supportive of the person who has stepped up to do this. The latest complaints cover two issues: the boots that I've made infamous and the reimbursements to others without documentation. Read the complaint here, here, here, here and here. Examples from Davis' Texas Ethics Commission Campaign Finance Reports of the problem with the lack of documentation on reimbursements to others can be found here and here. I'm telling you, it doesn't seem that hard to me to create an accurate Campaign Finance Report. I basically do it all the time at work with my expense reports. I can only imagine the hell there would be to pay if I filled in my report with an American Express bill reimbursable to me with no explanation of what that expense was for (yeah, they'd assume at work it was for Banana Republic). Or, if I turned in a receipt for a pair of Jimmy Choo's and expected my place of work to reimburse me. GIVE ME A BREAK. I've said it before, reading the Cash on Hand instructions from the Texas Ethics Commission reads like "How to Do the Opposite of What John Davis Does. Have you heard about Sherrie Matula's Parent PAC endorsement? She's running against John Davis in HD-129. Congratulations on this very prestigious and important endorsement, Sherrie!
