I Wish I Was On Rick Perry's ASS List
Not that I ever want to be indentified on any FEC filings as a Perry supporter, but now that I find out that he has coded "a small supporter" as ASS, well, I hate to be left out. Campaigns will code contributions to identify what effort they are tied to, and the ASSes were contributers who sent in checks for 2 cents or similar to protest Perry's business tax plan that was passed into law this summer.
Robert Black, Perry's spokesperson said:
"In hindsight, it probably wasn't the best choice for an abbreviation," Black said.
"They'll probably be changed to something like 'SML' for 'Small Going Forward,' " he said.
Um, Small Going Forward would be SGF, but I quibble. SML would be for Serious Money Lies which could be the slogan for the whole "property tax cut" portion of the legislation.Is there a reader out there who is Perry ASS man? I wish I could tell you I was a Perry ASS woman, but somehow I missed out on this once in a lifetime opportunity to be one of Governor Blow Dry's special friends.

Come to think of it, this really is a good idea. How much would it cost the Perry campaign to process a check for $.02? And that would get me on his mailing list, costing him more money, right? I guess I will be a Rick Perry supporter. Thanks for the great idea - and use whatever abbreviation you like.

This is a response to hal. I suspect that you are a woman yourself and that your response is a mocking one! I figured out long ago that muse is a woman BECAUSE her postings are cogent, erudite, and analytical.
